Retrospective in Leeds, England
I can't make them all, some recommendations would be great as I haven't seen most of them. I hope this type of post is OK with the mods?

Excellent program, I hope it comes around to either NY or DC, especially the rare early Rosi films like Many Wars Ago and Hands Over the City, which I haven't managed to see yet.
I highly recommend Illustrious Corpses and The Mattei Case, definitely among his best (if not the best of his) films. I also like Christ Stopped at Eboli a great deal. Salvatore Giuliano is also good, but it's on DVD, so it's not as rare of an opportunity as the first two.

Uomini contro... (1970) is one of the best films I've ever seen. Mattei Case (1972) and Illustrious Corpses (1976) are excellent too. These three are exquisitely made political "thrillers" a la Z, and for me, the height of Rosi's career.
I've seen, and would only secondarily recommend, La sfida (1959) and Salvatore Giuliano (1962). I didn't care for Cera una volta... (1967), Christ Stopped at Eboli (1979), Three Brothers (1980), Carmen (1984), or The Truce (1996). My records show I've also seen Lucky Luciano (1973), but, frankly, I don't remember it.
