I am wondering if Arrow will improve on BU's Bird With The crystal Plumage blu-ray. I am counting on different extras and the inclusion of the Italian mono soundtrack.

Deep Red will feature two versions of the film (the director's cut and the international theatrical cut), with optional Dolby 5.1/Stereo Italian Audio and Mono/Stereo English Audio. It will be packaged in a reversible sleeve with original and newly-commissioned art work, and will be bundled with a two-sided fold-out poster with new art work, and a exclusive collector's booklet featuring brand new writing on Deep Red by Alan Jones, author of Profondo Argento.

Does the PQ of the special edition of 'Johnny Got his Gun' improve upon the 2004 DVD?
Although i'd love to watch the Trambo doc, i don't care that much for the extras to justify paying a tenner more for them.

We used the same transfer, with this you are only losing out on the special features; the feature length Trumbo doc, Metallica 'One' Video, Alternate Scene, Trailer and a booklet including an interview with Trumbo.

Sounds great. Put me down for those!

What are the aims of Arrow Academy? What type of material will they be releasing?

For some reason Amazon have the dates on those wrong but Bicycle Thieves Blu-ray will be March 28th hopefully - still putting things together.

We hoped to release information this side of Christmas but we've been very busy with Arrow Video and things tend to get lost in the festive season so expect a bountiful press release with lots of info come the new year. With regards to the aims it [ the label] will share some similarites with Arrow Video but be a very different label. We aim to improve on releases from Arrow Films by using new or our own restorations and release films not released in the UK/Arrow Films before or improve on existing releases, so there will be quite a variety. We're quite Blu-ray focused as we want top quality releases and of the batch of launch titles (to be spread over a few months) a large chunk is HD. More info soon when we're in a position to confirm.

Great trailer! Someone obviously put a lot of effort into it.

I'll give it a week before YouTube bans it. :D

Is this the same Arrow Films that produced the two Claude Chabrol Collection boxsets? Seems like they've taken a new path since then.

Arrow Video is a sub-label. Arrow Films is still kicking, they have Bicycle Thieves coming on Blu in the next couple of months.

I wasn't sent a Blu-ray checkdisc, but I can certainly vouch for the DVD - it's a superb package.
