Carlotta is releasing it in France as part of a second Sirk boxset along with ALL I DESIRE, THE TARNISHED ANGELS and INTERLUDE. Titles will also be available individually.

Thanks for that, Miguel. The Carlotta looks tempting; I had no idea that, like MAGNIFICENT OBSESSION and IMITATION OF LIFE, THERE'S ALWAYS TOMORROW had a 1930s original (DEMAIN EST UN AUTRE JOUR sounds very French Scarlett O'Hara).
I won't give up hope on the Madman yet, though. The fact that the listing included details of supplements and a commentary makes me think this wouldn't simply be dropped - those things cost money. I think I'll leave my order open, and if nothing materialises by the end of the year, well, I have a Plan B. I am the bloke who waited four years for Artificial Eye to release A MAN ESCAPED, after all.
Here's the EzyDVD listing.

Very promising! The two Carlotta-released Uni titles I've seen (Cobra Woman and Phantom Lady) looked great.Miguel M Santos wrote:Carlotta is releasing it in France as part of a second Sirk boxset along with ALL I DESIRE, THE TARNISHED ANGELS and INTERLUDE. According to Madman's site There's Always Tomorrow was released on 18th February 2009. Available directly from them. There's a commentary and many other extras.

Fabulous film-- a deeply sincere piece of work viz both Sirk and MacMurray. Imho this is far superior to The Tarnished Angels, Written In The Wind, and Imitation of Life.

Anyone compared the R4 Madman with the R2 release, now that it appears the Madman has been released? MichaelDVD seemed to like it quite a bit, so I'm just wondering if it differs much from the R2 (are the German and French releases identical as well?). david's captures looked pretty good in the other thread.

Just announced via twitter as coming from Masters of Cinema. No word on specs or even which format.
