This amazing masterpiece is going to be released in UK in June. =D>

By the way, Cosi ridevano, the British DVD, are the subtitles removed or are they burned on film?

gracias.

Thanks for that wonderful news! I've been waiting for this film to be released for almost 15 years. I guess I can do away with my DVD-R of it taped from the Bravo network.

Amelio is definitely one of the most underappreciated humanist filmmakers on the planet and alongside Bertolucci probably Italy's most gifted post-60's filmmaker. I believe his output the last 20 years deserves comparison with the great modern filmmakers: Kiarostami, Hou, Yimou, Panahi, et al.

Great News =D> !

There's an English-friendly DVD available in Italy (subs on the film, not the extras, non-anamorphic).

Has anyone bought the UK DVD? Is it good enough to be imported?

Gracias.

Wonderful news. Valentina Scalici, the young child star, gave one of the best performances of the 90s in this heartbreaking masterpiece.

Cannot understand why Amelio is so underappreciated in US. This is a filmmaker that won the Felix award 3 times in the last 20 years.

I bought it on my Roman holidays last month, but I've had no time to watch it. I checked the image and it's not so VHS as you say.

Has anyone screenshots of the Medusa? The Arrow disk got a less than glowing review here http://homecinema.thedigitalfix.co.uk/c ... ntid=65273" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; , but there's a rip on the internet which looks great, is it from the Italian Medusa DVD?

The Italian disk is on my wish-list and I don't put things on there unless I'm certain it's quality. I've been looking to pick it up for a while but it always seems to be relatively high priced at Italian e-retailers.
