Maciste (Borgnetto/Denziot 1915)

Restored by Cineteca Bologna. FRENCH AND ENGLISH SUBS!!!! And it only 14.90€.

As some of you know, the Strong Guy from Cabira got so popular they made a spin-off. This is the first one and more are coming up if you spend some money on this terrific release. Here Maciste is no longer a bodybuilder living 2000 years ago, but the actor from Cabiria being sought up by a damsel in distress who has just seen the movie and been impressed by his bending skills.

117 screen caps for ARIA...

Imagine having dial-up?

Knap, that restoration looks fabulous-- has the Cinoteca B/L'Imagine Ritrovata always had this line, or is it a new venture?

Schreck, this is the first Cineteca Bologna DVD I ever put my hands on, so I don't really know.

Dave, Machiste wears a lot of disguises in this, so there'd not too much time for topless scenes.

Not just a CON, but an exquisitely painful one.

This page is now so fucking HUGE it takes as long to download as a complete 8 hour version of Greed. In 1080p.

OK, this may not be the right thread, but I figured I would get an answer quicker here. Please direct me to a more appropriate thread if need be.

I am trying to take screencaps of my some Region 2 DVDs, but they will not play on my computer with VLC. So far, I have been able to take screencaps from my R2 "Picnic at Hanging Rock" and "Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!" DVDs. But "Celine and Julie Go Boating," "The Innocents," "Paperhouse," and "Kwaidan" will not play. Does anyone know why this is so? I was led to believe that VLC would play all discs.

Try downloading an older version, perhaps - a similar happened to me when I got a new laptop (some sort of compatibility problem)...

I've always restricted myself to posting six caps per DVD, as I think this is sufficient to give a sense of the transfer quality. Could others do the same?

Just so people know, putting images in spoiler tags does not prevent the browser from loading them, so you might as well not bother. I have looked into lowering the number of posts per page in this particular thread, but it looks like we'd have to change that number for all threads on the board.

Even though it's not as pretty as a long thread full of images, perhaps you all can, in the future, do as I did with colin's post above and put IMG tags only on 5-6 images and then, if you want to provide more images, just post the links so people can click through if they wish.
