Well, if Christine Lakin is there, I will give this show a try then. I had a crush on her since the days of "Step by Step".

She looks great, and seems charming enough, but it still elicits a "um... why?" reaction every time Craig casually asks her a question and she has to think of something clever to say back.

The big problem I can see here is that she is not a comedian and as far as I know, she isn't known for her improv either. Those sidekick roles are good when a comedian like Andy Richter play them.

I don't live in one of the six test markets, tragically. I'd love to take time out of my day for Kilborn, but it's not a reality yet unless it streams somewhere online

Kilborn File is growing on me, mainly (surprise!) because of Lakin, who has been increasingly funny and charming lately. And let's face it, she is very beautiful, and her little two-finger salute is the most adorable TV trademark ever. It's as cute as "Hey now!" was hilarious.

This week 'Kilborn File' brought back the old music from '5 Questions' so yeah, little by little it's becoming 'The Late Late Show' of old. :P

Is there any place online that has the Kilborn File?

The site, kilbornfile.com, has clips - but I haven't found anywhere (even through duplicitous channels) that has the episodes for download.

They've made some changes to the format, by the way - there is now a stand-up monologue, and it's essentially the Late Late show condensed to a half hour now altogether. The guests are getting a bit better, too, Elisabeth Moss was on the other day. It's really starting to gel.

I'll have to check if anyone on Justintv or TVU is doing a live feed.

Bill Murray will be on The Kilborn File tomorrow! Well, he's scheduled to be. In that Bill Murray way.

Always thought Craig should have stayed at ESPN.

How great is it that Conan might win the Emmy for his Tonight Show on the very network that pulled the plug?

Apparently NBC may remove the late night award from the Emmy broadcast, under the guise of shortening it.

This probably doesn't mean much to you younger twentysomethings, but the entirety of Johnny Carson's Tonight Show run will one day be available for viewing online. Right now, his web site has a limited number of clips available for general viewing.

The entirety? I was under the impression that wasn't possible, as NBC had taped over some of Johnny's frist few years.

The entirety of what's available (i.e. early 70's to 1992). The 60's "Tonight Show" tapes from NY are gone for good and only selected highlights (best of) remain on film/kinescope. Thanks NBC! :x

Colbert singing "Lean On Me" with Brian Eno and Michael Stipe last night was amazing.

Agreed. It was completely unexpected yet delightful to hear. Still saddens me that REM is done and I was never able to see them live.

How have Colbert's ratings been? I haven't watched in at least a couple of years, having grown a bit tired of the schtick.

ABC moves Nightline out of the way for Jimmy Kimmel. I'm fully expecting aliens to land, pigs to fly, and that Jimmy Hoffa's corpse will be dug up from my backyard.

Daily Show and Colbert Report are showing reruns due to the hurricane.
