HBO's new OTT service will be powered by MLBAM, who does the same for the WWE Network, among other services. Should be interesting how it will compare with how the Network has done, considering that will likely go in more homes in it's first couple of months than WWE's has done up to now. It also says the service will debut in the Spring.

James May's recent Toy Stories special is quite good and as usual in spirit with the show's aspirations of bringing the fantasies we had about our toys to life, including the kind of flash and bang pyrotechnics young boys can only dream of accomplishing with them. May himself is quite capable of carrying a show on his own shoulders, as he did earlier this year with his Cars of the People mini-series and his many other shows for the BBC.

Mixed feelings on Sonic Highways so far. It gets interesting until it becomes about the Foo Fighters' new record and the songs which don't pick up much of the flavor of the city each one is recorded in at all. The major disappointment so far is that they didn't cover what the punk scene in Nashvile was like...
