A collection of short films by De Sica and Gianni Franciolini:

Quite a monstrosity.
This is from 1953, so prime De Sica.
I just watched The Gold of Naples which is a similar De Sica project of 6 short films taking place in one general area, from the following year. And Gold of Naples is quite good, with Toto in a fun part with his role as head of the house usurped; while Sophia Loren gives a sexy performance as a food seller who has lost her ring; and De Sica plays a down-and-out count who gets bested at cards by a little kid who'd rather be outside with his friends. The count has no money to play with his peers ...
Good stuff, with an oddball cover ... is that Toto popping out of a volcano(?)

I'd be up for an eclipse set of 50's/early 60's De Sica: The Gold of Naples (1954); The Roof (1956); Two Women (1960) and The Last Judgment (1961). With either all of It Happened in the Park or just the De Sica directed shorts added to the Naples disc.
Two Women is a great film, and the others are all little-seen, but the De Sica name and a wacky E could rectify that ....

Thank you for helping to name my forthcoming biopic of Bertrand Russell!

I'm reminded of this.

Colorized DVD covers never look good, don't they?

Really conveying a lot about the unique premise of the movie with that one. Oh well, not like they had a great poster design to work with.

That's a less than sexy and surreal cover (I do like the other pull-quote, at least!)

Why, because he looks like Edward Cullen with a beard?

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not, but this poster and especially this poster are both great.

Now that's unsettling. It's enough to blind someone really.

My first thought was "Oh good, Mac from Always Sunny is finally getting some lead roles!"

It makes me think that I am about to be attacked by a three-headed celebrity Hydra.

It was sarcasm, I thought the poster designs for this were great.
