The BFI have announced a monthly streaming subscription service called BFI Player Plus for £5 pm.
It's not Fandor, but it's still a pretty interesting collection of films. Almost 20 Kurosawa, most of (not all?) their Flipside releases, collections of Herzog, Cassavetes, Powell and Pressburger, Lean, Naruse and early Hitchcock, along with other odds and sods like a Mieville/Godard doc, Scorsese's PERSONAL JOURNEY, NIGHT HAWKS, the Billy Wilder EMIL AND THE DETECTIVES, GODZILLA and THE MYSTERIANS, etc.

Re: BFI Player + Subscription Service
I've got a MUBI subscription, which I almost never use (it's £3 per month so I never quibble). I assume it's unlimited access to the same films that were on BFI Player for a pay-per-film rental? I'll check it out but it sounds good value at least.

Only a selection, not everything.
But I just watched what was advertised as the '31 EMIL, turned out to be the '35 version, the stream was low quality and it completely gave up about three minutes before the end. I did get it going again, but not the most fantastic start.
