Here's a good review of "Le soldatesse" which I've watched in a 108 min version, ripped from Italian TV.

I'm debating whether to get either the Italian Blu-ray of Zurlini's THE DESERT OF THE TARTARS or the French version. The French version is a few minutes shorter, but from what I understand it has a number of French actors in their original voices. Are there any thoughts on which version is more authoritative or better overall?
