It's nice to know that even retailers have to deal with crushed, dinged, and dogeared digipaks even before they pass them on to their customers.

I'll say it again: I must be living in some bizarro universe, because I've never had a digi dinged or crushed, whether I bought it online or in a brick n mortar store. Meanwhile, I have to deal with discs falling off the spindles in my regular cases.

Yeah, you must. I almost never get floaters in regular cases, but every Criterion digipak I've gotten so far has been at least slightly crushed.

I've only gotten one digipack that looked bothered by travel at all, while I've gotten a number of alpha packages with weird warped plastic issues (almost like it had been in extreme heat from some time) and floating damaged discs. I really don't care either way, but digipack is fine with me. It seems that this is a pretty evenly divided issue, maybe a poll would clear up how the silent people feel about it? It's been a while since we had one (a poll, that is.)

I'm more hoping that CC isnt too in love with the new design so that they might try out a hand drawn logo.

Covers for the Monsters and Madmen individual disks are up.

Really love the First Man in Space and Haunted Strangler. But all are among the most visually striking covers in recent memory.

Oh my goodness. Absolutely excellent, all of them. These are some of the most beautiful covers I've yet seen on Criterion releases. =D> As far as the best horror film covers in the collection, these come pretty dern close to dethroning Equinox.

All of them are so wonderful. The Atomic Submarine and Corridors of Blood are my favorite. It looks like a lot of time went into these covers. Great job Criterion (i know you are looking, criterion spies).
