In this case they're both listed in the new releases and I'm pretty sure they weren't there before this week, but they were all on Hulu.
I only post films that show on Filmstruck that have never been on released on physical media or Hulu, but if D50 or anyone else wants to put the time and effort into cataloging everything he sees show up on Filmstruck, Criterion channel or not, more power to him.

Oh, that may be my cue to enter. Hello, all — as with IsaacTM last week, I'm new to the forum and I have a spreadsheet:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... =556920267" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

A friend of mine who speaks code did something with Filmstruck's source code involving jsons and requests and gave me two csv files, which I turned into the linked spreadsheet. I take a few minute every morning with my first cup of coffee to update it with anything new that day.

I finally got an Amazon Fire Stick and was able to bring up Filmstruck, but the app seems very buggy. It crashed my TV twice. Navigation seems very un-intuitive, bordering on unusable. Anyone else having troubles like these?

I have the Fire TV which is a step up from the stick, but I have issues relating to the audio (mostly anything with at least a stereo track, nothing wrong with mono ones however) though I've seen a couple video glitches too but nothing serious. The FAQ suggested I get a new optical cable for my surround system which I did.

Rock'n'Roll High School
Death Race 2000
The Intruder

It looks like Shout! must be losing the rights to their Corman titles. I could see Criterion picking up a few other titles besides the three recently added to the Criterion Channel. (Cockfighter, Suburbia come to mind)

Whatever Criterion doesn't cherry pick; I expect will probably wind up at Arrow USA.

Corman will be the next "Adventures in Moviegoing" subject so it may just be a special thing for streaming somehow to accommodate that.

If that was the case, these films would have appeared on the general filmstruck channel and not the Criterion one.

Criterion also recently added a phantom page for Rock'n'Roll High School director Allan Arkush. (Paul Bartel and Roger Corman already have pages)

The Corman titles are specifically branded with 'Criterion Channel' in the opening, not the 'Criterion Collection'. The only other ones I have noticed like that are the Athina Rachel Tsangari titles, which are still in print from Strand Releasing. These simply may be temporary streaming rights for a Corman themed feature.

I hope they release Corman's The Intruder. His most serious work to date.

No more love for Naruse? Only one Blu-ray stands in the main line. There was a big retrospective of his work and years later we got one film in the main line and only one Eclipse from him.

It's getting hard to tell what is new. I think that when they create a banner collection, some of the films show up in the recently added list, whether they are new or not.

New Agnes Varda banner with 15 films. Justwatch says only Mur Murs is new.

There is a fairly new Hideko Takamine banner collection with 4 directed by Naruse, and the bulk by Keisuke Kinoshita (9). Also, one by Ozu, one Toyoda, one Kobayashi, and one Inagaki. Excellent seven minute feature: Barest Emotions: The Simplicity of Hideko Takamine by Tony Zhou.

Justwatch shows the newly added as:

The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas
Le Quattro Volte
The Cave of the Yellow Dog
Brassed Off
Mur Murs
Kung-Fu Master!

Also, Filmstruck recently added:

Downhill
Little Voice

I didn't love Filmstruck's feature about Takamine, but I will add my voice to the love for Naruse/Takamine chorus. Discovering the work the two did, both together and separately, was for me one of the high points of the criterion-on-hulu days. The fact that so little has been released on disc (which, alas, probably makes commercial sense) and that so much was available on hulu essentially changed my mind about the role streaming could play in serious film watching.

If you haven't already seen these films (and you don't see melodrama as a dirty word) Floating Clouds is probably the best place to start.

The Lone Wolf films White Heaven in Hell, Baby Cart in the Land of Demons, and Baby Cart at the River Styx are also on the Criterion Channel, though I've never seen them on the Recently Added list. It might be worth browsing all titles from time to time to see what's available.
What puzzles me is that Baby Cart in Peril is not available. Is it an oversight? Or are streaming right different form the other five films?
