And not a single person has mentioned Warlock or Boxing Helena as possibilities because...?

Re: Criterion on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube
I'm leaning towards Leaving Las Vegas here. Maybe paired spines of that and Figgis' The Loss of Sexual Innocence (Sony title)?
I'd totally buy a Boxing Helena blu, but I'm weird like that.

Well, you beat me to it on Warlock, but I can still mention the woefully ignored Tale of a Vampire.cdnchris wrote:And not a single person has mentioned Warlock or Boxing Helena as possibilities because...?

Just met Julian at Texas Frightmare Weekend and he says it was for the 30th anniversary of A ROOM WITH A VIEW and thinks it's due in August or so.

That's odd because the streaming version on Hulu is credited to Shout!....

Re: Criterion on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube
That's part of Shout's Westchester purchase - which was a streaming media deal - so that they could have content for a digital channel / Hulu competitor. It doesn't seem to affect homevideo rights for any of the Westchester films, nor even streaming rights for the films Criterion has from Caidan/Westchester.jwd5275 wrote:That's odd because the streaming version on Hulu is credited to Shout!....

From the premiere of the Janus Films restoration of PATHER PANCHALI last night. From left to right: Noah Baumbach, Joel Coen, Wes Anderson, and Jim Jarmusch.

Awesome.
I used to do my hair like Joel's in college - just rolled right out of bed and went straight to class.

In the cool stakes, I think Jarmusch just pips it.

Someone in the comments for that tease points out that it's likely the film associated with this clue:
A dress made of guns and knives; makes sense.

They've posted a picture of Fassbinder on the set of Berlin Alexanderplatz. Hopefully this is a hint at an upgrade coming soon.

Re: Criterion on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube
doubt it means anything, but they upgrade one big box set per year since 2009 (Monterey Pop, Brakhage, Fanny & Alexander, Samurai Trilogy, Cassavetes, Tati), so Alexanderplatz could definitely be the 2015 box upgrade. That would be a lot of fassbinder in one year.sir_luke wrote:They've posted a picture of Fassbinder on the set of Berlin Alexanderplatz. Hopefully this is a hint at an upgrade coming soon.

My Own Private Idaho popped up on Instagram, so presumably a blu upgrade is forthcoming:

Hey, maybe they'll tack on James Franco's presumably stupid River Phoenix project assembled from alternate takes left over from the making of My Own Private Idaho as an extra!

Picture posted of Jean-Pierre Leaud "through the years". Also, 17 days ago a picture was posted of a Straw Dogs poster and 8 days ago a picture was posted of Sans Soleil.

Part of a series of Saul Bass's poster designs for The Shining with Kubrick's handwritten notes with a link on Facebook. Also, a picture of a poster of If... and a picture of Rainer Werner Fassbinder.vidussoni wrote:This was posted on their Tumblr.
