Excellent timing on the Pialat! How long is the sale running?

Same here! Today, in addition to 5 direct from the Eureka store at £9.99 (I already had the Criterion "Kuroneko"), I've ordered 11 from Amazon.co.uk (incl FBA) and Base.com, at prices ranging from £9.72 to £10.59. My usual target price for MoC BDs is £9.00, but my price watch list was getting too damn long, and the extra cost is chickenfeed compared to what I've wasted on upgrading from DVD to BD!

There's some seriously good deals on Base.com. Just nothing on the few that I still need it seems!

Same here, as well as A Time to Love and a Time to Die, but neither are showing up on their sale page. Is there a different link or are they just not up yet?

I've already ordered this but the text says that it is a DVD, but the picture is of the Blu-ray and when you click through a BD is shown as being in your cart.

http://www.eurekavideo.co.uk/offers/new.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It's in the "new" page. Although it says "DVD" instead of "Blu-ray", the picture is clearly the Blu-ray, and when you add to cart, it says "Blu-ray".

Hope you guys can cancel your orders, Eureka are selling it for only £16.99 until 5pm (BST) on Friday (though personally, I'd say just go with the Criterion - since you get more films and some rather great interviews/bonus features)

but thats an incredible price, makes me think it hasn't sold very well - (probably neither Criterion's nor MoC's). Shame on all of you who complain about Criterion/MoC not releasing obscure stuff and haven't bought the World Cinema sets (unless you're like me and waiting for the July BN sale :P ). I'm guessing this all probably doesn't bode too well for a volume 2 (cough, Naruse).
Also Nosferatu blu-ray is £9.99

Oh my, Faust just up for pre-order on Amazon. Over 20 Pounds. Yikes for us in the States.

That's close to the undiscounted RRP for most MoC titles. I expect you'll be able to order it directly from Eureka for under £15.

Usually they pop up with a low price on Amazon before they jump up. I guess I'll wait for Eureka to run a special.

The Nosferatu steel book is £30 on Amazon. Most of the stuff there now is more expensive than if you were to buy it directly, whether Eureka, Arrow, Second Run and so forth.

If you look at the latest Arrow titles, you'll see Amazon also asks premium prices for these ones. I guess the lack of real concurrence helps to keep the prices up as long as possible, but there's no way I'll pay so much for these titles, since I'll be able to get them much cheaper anyway (by waiting a bit, or more simply by getting them straight from the label).

I've seen some Studio Canal going up too (Accident, Dead of Night, The Servant), and even some BFI which are usually very low priced (£18.59 for Gaslight, let me laugh).

Amazon prices go up and down all the time. Use something like Pricenoia to track them. Shopping online is always a waiting game for the best deal. You can't always expect to get everything at bargain prices. That said, Amazon UK has got more expensive for DVDs and Blu-rays on average recently.
