I may have missed it, but what exactly was the reason for the Lubitsch set going OOP? Bad sales and no urge for a new edition? Did the rights expire?

I saw in the Kino newsletter aweek or 2 ago that their equivalent Lubitsch box was selling at big discount like they were trying move it quick... So maybe something did happen w the rights to those titles?

Well, the reason it's OOP this soon is the Sony warehouse fire. I kind of doubt MoC's rights would have lapsed so quickly though. It's probably more likely that it wasn't selling very well to begin with so when most of the remaining stock burned up they didn't think it would be worth the cost to do another pressing. A shame, really.

It's still 80$ on their website.

Where was it mentioned that LUBITSCH IN BERLIN is OOP? Is there any clear reference to that or confirmation from MoC?

I believe that it was already on it's second pressing before the fire so I doubt it would have willingly gone out of print. If I remember correctly though there was a mixup some months back from one of their warehouses that spread this rumour around.

And in the last sale they still had some left, so might be worth emailing them about one if you want one.

Speaking of OOP i managed to pick up Nightmare Alley from playtrade for £11 brandnew and sealed \:D/

Now it's just tracking Michael down for a reasonable price.

It has always been available direct from Eureka. The decision was made a while back to only sell this one from Eureka. It's not OOP.

Been trying to get hold of a few MoC that I'd not heard were OOP, but can't seem to get them in stock anywhere. Titles like Pitfall, Assassination, Spione, Francesco Giullare di Dio, Humanity and Paper Balloons, and Tabu. I know the riots last August ruined a lot of stock, but surely that's been sorted now? And with Tabu, if there's a Dual-format coming next year I can understand if that's gone OOP, but does anyone know anything about the others?

Pitfall is OOP but the others aren't, they are in the process of getting reprinted.

They've not announced Pitfall as OOP hmm #-o, I was under the impression that was getting reprinted too.

Yeah, they announced that one on twatter, I don't recall it for Pitfall though, sucks that it's OOP. :(

For those that don't know Funeral Parade of Roses & Asphalt are back in stock at Amazon now, hopefully the others will follow soon.

Perhaps they're going to upgrade Humanity & Paper Balloons when they release The Million Ryo Pot? /wishful thinking

I think he meant to say that Pitfall is going to be reprinted (guess they were the last in the bunch to get reprinted). Only Face of Another is OOP - and apparently won't be going Dual format either.

Are OOP notifications over now? That was a hell of a few months.

I think it was mentioned somewhere that they lost the rights to the Teshigaharas.

I don't believe I've ever heard Pitfall being mentioned in the same breath as OOP (other than a "is Pitfall safe? it is? ok good"). A search of the forums didn't pull anything up.

Perhaps if Nick could chime in with some definitive word to end all this.

You'll have to ask Eureka. A lot of renewals came up this year. We had to decide to not renew some, in order to spend money renewing the licence of others. I believe both Teshigaharas were lost. Eureka will have the definitive word.

We didn't renew the Teshigaharas, so yes, both Pitfall and The Face of Another are now out-of-print.

Thanks for the confirmation Craig. Is that the same case with Assassination and Spione?

SPIONE has definitely been repressed and is not OOP.
