Lionsgate: Sophia Loren Collection

#1 Post by Cronenfly » Fri Mar 21, 2008 12:16 pm

The Home Media article linked in the Meridian collection thread seems to indicate that there's a Sophia Loren collection coming the same day [as the Deneuve Collection].

And as I mentioned elsewhere hopefully La Ciociara sneaks in.

Lol...the collection of films they have selected is very underwhelming. Atilla in particular is a very weak film.

I actually pulled that image from dvdempire before they quickly pulled it down. It's back up though.

Great box. I want to import it because, supposily it's with Spanish subtitles.

Madame sans Gene is a very funny comedy-adventures film in Napoleon's time, but I think that it's spoken in French and not in Italian. I've olnly seen it, twice, in Spanish language in the poor DVD avalaible here.

Sunflower is one of the saddest film I've ever seen. I love the plot, the music, all. It's not a great De Sica's film but it's pretty good. I adore the couple formed by Marcello and Sophia.

The other two I have not seen it, but Attila I own a downloaded Spanish print.

It's crossing the Ocean travelling to me. =D> Finally, I could cry wit Sunflowers in Italian-language and not the Spanish dubbed version I own.

I expect the Techine's box will be as good as this one, and it'll have got Sp. subtiles.
