Wait, KL just stealth announced a shitton of great movies, including 3/4 of the Lionsgate Godard set: Detective, First Name: Carmen, Helas Pour Moi (no Passion-- perhaps with Criterion?)
We also have Alphaville, which will be released later.

5/21. Nixon
Nixon, the Oliver Stone film? I've not heard anything about this release and blu-ray.com doesn't even have it listed in their upcoming releases database. Can you provide some details? Will this have any differences from the existing Election Year Edition released in 2008? Will the theatrical cut finally be included? Will it include the "making of" featurette that was included on the "Collector's Edition" DVD release but dropped from the "Election Year Edition" DVD & Blu-Ray releases?
The release will most likely be a three disc set. Include both cuts, a new historian commentary for the theatrical cut and all the previously produced extras and director's commentary.

Not sure which "making of" featurette you're talking about, I don't see it listed anywhere.
Thanks for that info, I'm really excited about this release! The "making of" was a promotional 5-minute production featurette combining clips, b-roll, & interview snippets. It appeared on this DVD release, though it was not listed on the back cover.

Fantastic news re: the Godards, they were my most wanted from this Studio Canal deal. Can I take this to mean that Passion won't be following at a later date though?

You guys are doing a fantastic job with these Disney/Touchstone titles. I have to ask-is Blood In, Blood Out on the docket? It’s developed a huge cult following over the years, and I’d love to see a beautiful HD transfer of it

In this next-to-last phase of the Pink Panther’s amazing run of new theatrical short-subjects, newsworthy mid-to-late 1970s trends and fads such as Rock’em-Sock’em robots (PINK ARCADE), compulsive dieting (DIETETIC PINK), and the merchandizing of “pet rocks” (Art Leonardi’s ROCKY PINK) come into focus. Fairy-tale spoofs (PINK PIPER, CAT AND THE BEANSTALK) make a modest comeback, but much more impressive are brand-new wrinkles on familiar Panther themes like sleep deprivation (Art Davis’s PINK TRUMPET), wars against a pesky fly (turning positively apocalyptic in Sid Marcus’s PINK S.W.A.T.) and journeys through surreality (SHERLOCK PINK, Robert McKimson’s last and probably best “Panther” pic).

While producing this run of cartoons, DePatie-Freleng Enterprises got into another trend that became popular the 1970s: recycling.
• THE PINK OF ARABEE --> THE PINK OF BAGDAD
• PINKY DOODLE --> YANKEE DOODLE PINK
• ROCKY PINK --> PET PINK PEBBLES
(New titles, a little new animation spliced in... new ideas, not so much).

Please reconsider this stance, even if it moves the release date back! With proper colors I will promise to buy 2 copies and a few more come Christmas. Please run it past the decision-makers and see what they say?

I'll definitely watch it (i.e. borrow or rent a copy) if it's all that's available, but there's no way I'd buy it if the messed up color timing is in place.

Coming May 7th on DVD and Blu-ray!

The Man Who Haunted Himself (1970) with optional English subtitles

• Audio Commentary with star Roger Moore and uncredited writer/producer Bryan Forbes. moderated by journalist Jonathan Sothcott
• Masters of Horror Joe Dante and Stuart Gordon on "The Man Who Haunted Himself"
• Theatrical Trailer

Color 94 Minutes 1.85:1 Rated PG
In this creepy psychological thriller, conservative executive Harold Pelham (a harrowing and atypical performance by Roger Moore, ffolkes, The Naked Face, Gold) is involved in a car accident and declared momentarily dead. When he’s eventually released from the hospital, Pelham discovers that his exact double has recently been seen in places that he’s never been, taken over his family, undermined his business and even begun an extramarital affair. Is Pelham being stalked by a doppelgänger with a taste for the wild life, or is he simply a man going insane? The Man Who Haunted Himself was Roger Moore’s last movie before taking over the role of James Bond on seven 007 classics, as well as the final film by legendary director Basil Dearden (The Mind Benders, Dead of Night, The League of Gentlemen).

The Nightcomers (1972) with optional English subtitles

• Audio Commentary by director Michael Winner
• Introduction by Michael Winner
• NEW Audio Commentary by Film Historian Kat Ellinger
• Theatrical Teaser
• Theatrical Trailer

Color 96 Minutes 1.85:1 Rated R
Two Children… Two Adults… One Unspeakable Crime! Captivating and disturbing, this highly intense psychological drama with its haunting, twisted notion of sexuality puts a new spin on the characters from Henry James’ celebrated ghost story, “The Turn of the Screw.” Marlon Brando (The Appaloosa, The Missouri Breaks) stars as Quint, a gardener who powerfully impacts the lives of young orphans Miles and Flora, who are left in the care of their governess (Stephanie Beacham, Dracula A.D. 1972, TV’s Dynasty) and housekeeper (Thora Hird, A Kind of Loving). Obsessed with the charismatic Quint, the children are mesmerized by his warped views of love and life and soon pattern their own lives after his crude, secret courtship with their governess. When the housekeeper finds out about the lovers’ relationship, she decides to fire them, leaving the bereft children to take matters into their own chilling hands. Top-notch direction by Michael Winner (Hannibal Brooks, Death Wish) and co-starring the great Harry Andrews (S.O.S. Titanic, Modesty Blaise).
