Re: Twilight Time
I've been crossing my fingers for a Criterion Miami Blues release one day, but honestly anything would be better than the old non-anamorphic dvd.

MGM missed their opportunity to release this under the banner "Shit Happens When You Party Naked Edition!"

Re: Twilight Time
It looks like a Rhino Records release circa 1994, but in the grand scheme of things it's one of TT's better offerings

Re: Twilight Time
Addendum: It might not even be the worst TT cover for a film about a rock star who died in a plane crash on February 3, 1959.jedgeco wrote:But that's not even one of the worst covers that TT has done this month.

It's out in France courtesy of Wild Side end of October, I guess it'll come from the same source.

Re: Twilight Time
Must be nice to be the label that people say "dang" about when they find out you're the ones releasing a film. Kudos, TTdomino harvey wrote:Figured it'd be coming from Kino, dang

Re: Twilight Time
I will say this about Twilight Time: I like when they release films that have never had a stateside DVD release, like the Wayward Bus or the Egyptian etc. But their MGM releases are now way underwhelming thanks to Kino picking up 90 films and releasing them at half or better of what TT costs when considering actual cost of purchase

Cinema Sentries also gave Man Hunt high marks:
"Looking even better than ever, this upgrade boasts a remarkable picture so clear that you can just barely make out the background objects in the fog during the Pidgeon and Bennett's filmic farewell, and black levels are quite solid."

Re: Twilight Time
In the same bracket with Ministry of Fear (Criterion Collection) and Cloak and Dagger (Olive) in my opinion. If you have seen those two, you will surely know what you are up for.Drucker wrote:Man Hunt at DVD Beaver. Where would you folks say this stacks up for Lang?
