Meanwhile, extras for Robot Jox have been revealed via the P.E.G. Practical Effects Group on Facebook:
Paul Gentry wrote:Thanks to the efforts of director Stuart Gordon, myself, Chris Endicott, Paul Jessel, Mark Rappoport, John Torrani and disc coordinator Michael Felsher this upcoming Shout Factory ROBOT JOX Blu-Ray release will be packed with extra features when originally there were to be NONE. I gave up all the video, BTS stills I had in my archives as well as from others like Paul Jessel.

This is the film of all the Band films I worked on that was the most deserving of the deluxe treatment. There were so many talented people on this VFX crew, Charlie Band had no idea how lucky he was, who were often creating a silk purse out of a sow’s ear, even though not perfect and limited by time and especially money. (As usual.)

I only wish we had had a video interview of the man himself - David Allen. He will be seen and heard in the BTS video I shot way back when. Some of it pretty funny since Dave could be so hilarious.

This is the list of confirmed “extras”:

* AUDIO COMMENTARY WITH DIRECTOR STUART GORDON

* AUDIO COMMENTARY WITH ASSOCIATE EFFECTS DIRECTOR PAUL GENTRY, MECHANICAL EFFECTS ARTIST MARK RAPPAPORT, AND STOP-MOTION ANIMATOR PAUL JESSEL

* BEHIND-THE-SCENES FOOTAGE

* STILL GALLERY: ON-LOCATION (BTS)

* STILL GALLERY: ILLUSTRATIONS

* ARCHIVAL 2003 INTERVIEW: STUART GORDON (DIRECTOR)

* ARCHIVAL 2003 INTERVIEW: JOE VISKOCIL (PYROTECHNIC SUPERVISOR)

* ARCHIVAL 2003 INTERVIEW: PAUL GENTRY (ASSOCIATE EFFECTS DIRECTOR)

* ARCHIVAL 2003 INTERVIEW: PAUL JESSEL (STOP MOTION ANIMATOR)

* ARCHIVAL 2003 INTERVIEW: CHRIS ENDICOTT & MARK MCGEE (ANIMATION & VFX)

Looking forward to getting it and glad we could treat this not only as a movie release but as tribute and documentation to those who worked on it and in memory to David Allen & Joe Viskocil.

Thanks again to Paul Jessel and Mark Rappaport with whom I had a blast doing the VFX commentary. I warned them in advance there will be many things you really wish you would have had mentioned after the fact. Which inevitably came true. *sigh*
As a fan of stop-motion and Allen in particular (oh how I wish there was a way to see his unfinished Kong-tribute The Primevals!), I'm looking forward to this. Saw the film again recently on a 35mm print, and while it's laughable in most other respects, it's certainly notable for being one of the last films (if not the last) to rely on stop motion for its visual effects.

Bizarre, Scream has the Yorga sequel
**NEW TITLE ANNOUNCE!**

As some of you may already know, this past weekend our friends over at Twilight Time DVD Label announced that they would be bringing the 1970 AIP chiller COUNT YORGA, VAMPYRE to Blu-ray on 10/13. Well, if you can’t get enough of the bloodsucking shenanigans then step right up to watch its sequel! We have the rights to its 1971 follow-up THE RETURN OF COUNT YORGA, and will also be releasing it on Blu-ray on 10/13. Pre-order links will go up next month.

Both TALES FROM THE CRYPT films DEMON KNIGHT (1995) and BORDELLO OF BLOOD (1996) will be coming out on 10/20 as separate "Collector Edition" Blu-rays. We have no additional information at this time except that newly-commissioned artwork will be revealed next month and that extras will be announced in Late Summer.

***ANOTHER SURPRISE TITLE ANNOUNCE (and this one is BIG!)***

Today will be one of the more memorable days in our brand's history that's for sure! If you're still trying to catch your breath from our recent announcement of the upcoming Tales From the Crypt films, then steel yourself for the following...ARMY OF DARKNESS - the third film in the Evil Dead franchise, starring Bruce Campbell - is coming to Blu-ray "Scream Factory-style" in October! We will certainly aim to make it the most definitive version to own to date.

We know you'll have lots of questions on this one but we have no concrete details to report at this moment other than that newly-commissioned artwork (yes, its a "Collector's Edition") and pre-order links will be up next month and a full list of extras and specs will appear in early Fall.

Via Facebook:
**THE SENTINEL & THE LEGACY Update**
Sorry guys but we have a slight delay on two of our upcoming releases: Michael Winner's THE SENTINEL will now unleash on 9/22 (previously 8/18) and Richard Marquand's THE LEGACY will now stake ground on 9/15 (previously 8/25).
But its why we're delaying them that is the silver-lining. We're not at liberty to discuss details yet but if all goes as planned, we'll share the good news on both sometime next month. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

They posted on Twitter that Shout! will be releasing Living in Oblivion, which I was stunned by. Have they done other Sony titles? (If it's still Sony)

ELI ROTH’S THE STRANGER (10/1), THE RETURN OF COUNT YORGA (10/13), THE LARRY FESSENDEN COLLECTION (10/20), TALES FROM THE CRYPT: DEMON KNIGHT & BORDELLO OF BLOOD (10/20), HUMAN CENTIPEDE III (10/27), HUMAN CENTIPEDE: THE COMPLETE SEQUENCE (10/27) and ARMY OF DARKNESS (10/27) – Full list of extras will formally announced in early Sept. We’ll leave you with a tease though: ARMY is now a 3-disc Blu-ray set.

DEATH BECOMES HER – Originally planned for November its now been moved to the early half of 2016 but for good reasons! We’ll keep our fingers crossed and explain later on this year.

TROLL & TROLL 2 double feature on Blu-ray is now planned for a 11/17 release. Extras are in the works and pre-order links will be going up by end of the month.

BLOOD & LACE – This long-lost slasher film from 1971 finally releases on a DVD & Blu-ray combo on 11/24 and a new HD transfer for it is completed! Pre-order links will be going up by end of the month.

GHOST STORY – Circle 11/24 on your calendars for this spooky and winter-filled tale of revenge. Extras are in progress but we have a fantastic one already produced and will share at a later date. Pre-order links will be going up by end of the month.

THE CAR – We’re aiming to park this in December. Heads up: For some strange legal reason we are not able to use the original theatrical or international poster art on our release and so a newly-designed piece has been created. Once that’s officially approved, we’ll share it with you and confirm a street date.

WOMEN’S PRISON MASSACRE, GARBAGE PAIL KIDS and NIGHTMARES – All blu-rays are expected for Dec. No other details to report at this time.

JACK’S BACK & THE GUARDIAN – Prepare to start off the new year with fear. Currently both releases are scheduled for Jan.

No movement yet on a release date yet for DESTROYER (sorry!). We are still have issues with retrieving suitable film elements.

THE SERPENT AND THE RAINBOW is now looking to strike in Feb or March 2016.

BTW - We do have more titles to announce before the year ends and will reveal them before the end of Sept. We’ll disclose more titles planned for 2016 in October.
For Region A locked folks, they are also going to be releasing White of the Eye
"WHITE OF THE EYE – From the Director of Demon Seed, this 1987 thriller will be coming to DVD & Blu-ray for the first time this November. The film Stars David Keith (Firestarter, An Officer and a Gentleman), Cathy Moriarty (Raging Bull) and Alan Rosenberg (The Guardian). Expect pre-order links and a confirmed street date to go up sometime in the next two weeks. The artwork you see here is reversible (with the one on the left being newly-commissioned). "

White of the Eye is a Paramount title, correct? Is that their first Paramount title since The Duellists?

Guess Dennis Miller couldn't be dragged away from the grind of doing podcasts with Adam Carolla to participate.

Not too surprising there. Miller dumped on the movie when it was released. In Corey Feldman's A.V. Club Random Roles interview, he said "Dennis Miller was the biggest dick I’ve ever worked with in the history of my career. He was terrible to the crew, treated people like shit, very disrespectful, very snobby."
