The Friends of Eddie Coyle
The Friends of Eddie Coyle is presented in its original aspect ratio of 1.85:1. Black bars at the top and bottom of the screen are normal for this format. This high-definition digital transfer was created on a Spirit Datacine from a 35mm interpositive and a 35mm color reversal intermediate struck from the original negative. Thousands of instances of dirt, debris, and scratches were removed using the MTI Digital Restoration System.
Presented in its original monaural format, the soundtrack was mastered at 24-bit from a 35mm magnetic dialogue, music, and effects track. Pops, crackle, hiss, and hum were reduced with an array of audio restoration techniques.
